The Somali Blue Eco Organization (SBEO) is a coastal youth initiative based in Mogadishu and
works to protect and restore Somalia's coastline through active and collaborative efforts between
the organization and its local community. SBEO believes that strong coastlines result in stronger
communities, safer cities, and better economic opportunities for all Somalis.
Our stakeholders play a vital role in supporting our mission and helping us create long-term impact across Somalia’s coastal communities.
We are committed to protecting Somalia’s coastal areas and marine ecosystems through hands-on clean-up initiatives, environmental awareness, and sustainable action that creates lasting positive change for communities and nature.
OUR MISSION is Protecting and restoring Mogadishu's coastline through community
empowerment, reduction of coastal pollution and providing simple,
affordable environmental solutions to enhance quality of life and create an
improved, safer future for Somalia.
A resilient Mogadishu with healthy beaches, responsible communities and
sustainable coastal practices that provide healthier living environments and
stronger future opportunities for generations to come.
